Job Location:
This is a hybrid role, working onsite from our client’s office two days a week, and remotely three days a week. This role must reside within the client’s service territory (Bay Area, Sacramento, or Auburn, CA).
Summary:
Working on a variety of client projects, the GIS Analyst is responsible for developing mapping applications and tools and managing a digital library of geographic maps in various file types, along with other duties. The successful candidate brings a deep understanding of GIS fundamentals and strong ArcGIS Online (AGOL) experience setting up Field Maps (Forms), Survey 123, and ArcGIS Experience Builder, along with scripting and Power Automate experience.
Essential Job Duties
· Apply your AGOL knowledge to:
o Build maps for Field Maps using ‘forms’
o Create Experience Builder apps
o Create/build complex Survey 123 forms
· Perform spatial data analysis and modeling using Esri suite of software.
· Publish feature services and create view layers in ArcGIS Online (AGOL) to share data with clients, while ensuring appropriate levels of access.
· Create dashboards using AGOL to support our clients with critical business decisions.
· Review data for currency, accuracy, usefulness, quality, and ensure completeness of documentation.
· Provide GIS technical support to clients as needed.
· Automate workflow processes using Python or other tools, where appropriate.
· Clearly and concisely document processes to support project documentation, client knowledge bases and/or tutorials.
· Actively participate in client meetings and internal team meetings.
· Other GIS and software support efforts as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Proficiency in using Esri products including ArcPro and ArcGIS Online for spatial data analysis.
· Power Automate familiarity with AGOL connections.
· Scripting experience with GIS.
· Basic knowledge of how to use arcade expressions in AGOL dashboards.
· GIS data modeling and reporting skills via dashboards, Power BI, or other external reporting tools.
· Ability to automate GIS and data processes using ModelBuilder, Python scripting, or other coding tools.
· Competency using the Microsoft suite of products.
· Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional qualitative skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience/Education:
· Bachelor’s degree (BS) in GIS, Geospatial Science, or related field, or an Associate's degree and relevant professional experience.
· 5+ years practical experience in a GIS-related industry.
· Expertise in AGOL.
· Experience using Esri, GIS, and mobile mapping tools.
· Experience with Esri FieldMaps, Survey123, and Experience Builder.
· A background in utilities is helpful.
Travel:
· Weekly onsite work two days per week, and infrequent travel to Company or client meetings and events.
